High School HeroesX President and Founder Eli Wachs has been in the media recently as he speaks of his goals through HSHX– to empower youth to effect positive change in their communities–, and encourage high school social entrepreneurs.

This January, Eli was listed as one of Startup Grind’s Five High School Entrepreneurs to Watch for in 2016. He was also quoted online in Forbes for how he has overcome obstacles in building High School HeroesX.

Stemming from his learnings in the Philadelphia Education Challenge, Eli writes a monthly column for UYD Media about the problems with the current state of education in the United States of America. His first column was about our need to increase investment in pre childhood education, and his second was about what is wrong with our standardized testing system.
