High School HeroesX is thrilled to announce the first member of its advisory board: Ms. Lauren Fine, a Philadelphia resident and the Co-founder  and Co-Executive Director at Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project (YSRP). A graduate of Yale University and Duke Law School, as well as an Echoing Green Fellow, High School HeroesX is honored to have Ms. Fine serve on our advisory board. YSRP “improves outcomes for children at sentencing, throughout incarceration, and upon reentry to the community” and “ endeavors to turn contact with the justice system into as positive an intervention as possible.”

Considering the high correlation between teens entering the justice system and not being able to graduate from high school, Ms. Fine’s expertise will truly be invaluable. Our participating schools are excited to speak with her about how to keep children in school, or engaged in worthwhile ventures and off the streets. Also, Ms. Fine is “looking forward to seeing the impact HeroesX is able to make”.
